How mentoring also enriches you
I am very privileged to be a mentor @sbootcamp #SBCfasttrack #Melbourne. Having spent the day with another dozen or more amazing mentors giving as much feedback and coaching as we could pack into the day (and pub afterwards) to 9 awesome startups. Having to articulate careful feedback to 9 teams of highly motivated eager to learn and talented entrepreneurs challenged me more than I realised but was exhilarating, rewarding and helped me grow myself. I absolutely learned from the creativity of blue sky thinking of many teams and new ways of looking at problems, from the insights of fellow mentors who came from completely different backgrounds, experience and professional careers and being challenged to provide practical next step advice on how each of the teams could improve. In just the first Melbourne FastTrack I have made so many great relationships, learnt a lot and in some way contributed to the improvement of some great future business. Its true that what you give to others of your time, energy and knowledge will enrich you just as much.
